Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 celebrated the 121st Police Service Anniversary (PSA) in a ceremony held at this camp last Wednesday, September 14, with Honorable Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante, Governor of Agusan del Norte as Guest of Honor.
The celebration was anchored on the theme, “Matibay na Ugnayan ng Pulisya at Mamamayan, Tungo sa Pagkakaisa, Kapayapaan, at Kaunlaran”.
Highlight of the activity was the giving of awards to the deserving police units and PNP personnel in Caraga who demonstrated exemplary performances in the fields of administration and operation.
The individual awardees were:

Ø Dinagat Islands PPO – Plaque of Recognition for Insurgency Cleared Free Province and Plaque of Recognition for Drug Cleared Province
Presented in an Audio-Visual Presentation was the accomplishments of PNP Caraga from July 2021 to August 2022 which includes the arrest of 812 Most Wanted Persons and 3,283 other wanted persons; arrest of 499 drugs suspects and confiscation of 2,120.156 grams of shabu and 191.65 grams of marijuana with a total worth of Php15,753,216.56; arrest of 237 suspects for possession of Loose Firearms, confiscation of 336 loose firearms, and turn-over of 1,372 light weapons and small arms; arrest of 1,219 suspects on illegal gambling and confiscation of Php539,166.80 bet money; arrest of 408 suspects on illegal logging and confiscation of 671,833.69 board feet of illegally cut logs worth Php24,373,451.40; arrest of 1,462 suspects on illegal fishing and confiscation of almost Php869,287.00 worth of marine life; and arrest of 199 Communist Terrorist Group members and surrender of 401 CTG members and 252 firearms.
These feats made Police Regional Office 13 a final nominee for the BEST POLICE REGIONAL OFFICE among 17 PROs in the country, during the 121st PSA celebration of the Philippine National Police.
“It is a given that stability is an important factor for development. YOUR ROLE AS PEACEKEEPERS IS A LARGE CONTRIBUTING ELEMENT TO ACHIEVE THIS. For the 121 years of the existence of police service, the country has so much to thank you, for taking up the cudgel to ensure that communities thrive, businesses flourish, families are safe, and daily activities can go on simply because all of you are present to enforce law and order,” Governor Amante said highlighting the great contribution of the police force.
Other notable personalities who graced the celebration were Hon. Santiago B. Cane Jr, Governor of Agusan del Sur; PMGEN PATRICK T. VILLACORTE, Commander of Area Police Command-Eastern Mindanao; and BGEN ADONIS A. ORIO, Commander of 402nd Brigade, Philippine Army.
