Surigao: 5 Associations Receive 1.5M Sustainable Livelihood Program Of DSWD

The DSWD granted 1.5 Million Sustainable Livelihood Program to 5 associations in the Municipality of Claver. These associations received 300k each, namely; 1. Pangi Empowered People Association (PEPA for Copra Buy & Sell); 2. Cabugo Claver Action Force for Recovery Enhancement Program Beneficiaries Association (CACAREBA for Poultry Egg Production); 3. Sapa Rice Farmers and Millers Association (for Palay Buying & Selling); 4. United Ladgaron Farmers Association (for Agri-Vet Supplies); and 5. Magallanes Integrated Farmers Association (for Goat Farming).

The ceremonial turn-over of cheque was attended by DSWD Regional Director Ramel F. Jamen, together with Poverty Reduction, Livelihood & Employment Cluster (PRLEC) chairperson and TESDA Provincial Director Catalina O. Tacubao, the 30th Infantry Battalion Representative, MAJ. Jasper Gacayan, our local officials headed by Mayor Georgia D. Gokiangkee, and punong barangays Jave N. Gepulla of Cabugo, Reneboy T. Entenia of Magallanes, Aida N. Virtudazo of Sapa, and Kagawad Emma P. Galos of Ladgaron.

This program is initiated thru the Executive Order No. 70 of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, “Institutionalizing a whole-of-nation approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace.”
