Shooting incident transpired at Zone-5, Brgy. Cabaluay, Zamboanga City at 12:30 AM of December 21, 2020. The victim was identified as Jose Angeles y Gonzalez, 34 years old, single who was already brought by the Barangay Tanod of Brgy. Cabaluay to Mindanao Central Sanitarium Hospital for immediate medication.
The suspect was identified as Melvin Francisco y Guevara, 23 years old, married, resident of abovementioned place. The victim sustained two (2) gunshot wound on his back.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was on his way home together with his two brothers identified as Gilberto Angeles y Gonzales and Dexter Angeles, while walking the subject person identified as Melvin Francisco y Guevara confronted and came to argue with the victim regarding their work but the victim did not mind him and instead he turned around and left the suspect, but suspect shot the victim from behind with the used of unknown firearms.
No recovered empty shells at the crime scene. Zamboanga City Police Station 3 conducted hot pursuit operation that resulted to the arrest of suspect.
He is now presently detained at said police station for filling of the case.
