In reducing the crime rate of the province and preventing the lawless elements from committing violations, the police operatives of Surigao del Norte arrested ten wanted individuals in one day of intensified simultaneous anti-criminal law enforcement operations (SACLEO) yesterday, August 13.

POLICE COLONEL LAUDEMER M. LAUDE, the Provincial Director, identified the ten accused individuals as eight males, one female, and one minor, all of whom are locals from Gigaquit, Del Carmen, Sta. Monica, Claver, Dapa and Socorro, Surigao del Norte. They are accused of Reckless Imprudence resulting in homicide, rape, attempted homicide, grave oral defamation, Estafa, and violation of PD 1602.

The police operatives arrested the ten accused yesterday in separate operations as part of the campaign against wanted persons. The arrests were made at their respective local addresses by virtue of warrants of arrest issued and docketed by nine Municipal Circuit Trial Courts (MCTCs) and one from the Regional Trial Court of the 10th Judicial Region in Surigao del Norte.

“The SDN PNP will not relent in targeting individuals involved in criminal activities and wanted by the authorities. We will intensify our campaign to hunt down and track those with existing warrants of arrest. This serves as a warning to all law offenders: surrender yourself at the nearest police station in your locality. By arresting these individuals, we aim to deliver the justice that the victims deserve,” PD Laude said.

The arrested persons are now under the custody of the respective City and Municipal Police Stations for proper disposition. (Mark James Lisondra)
