Shooting Incident
Shooting incident transpired at Purok 3, Barangay Pulo Laum Olutanga Zamboanga Sibugay Province at about 2:00 AM of January 23, 2021. Immediately elements of Olutanga Municipal Police Station proceeded to the reported place. Initial investigation disclosed that upon arrival at the crime scene the body was already been remove by their relatives. The victim was identified as Maid Arabin Jailani, legal age, married, resident of Purok 3, Barangay Pulo Laum Olutanga Zamboanga Sibugay Province, who was shot to death by unidentified person. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body. Recovered from the crime scene were five empty shells, and one ammunition of caliber .45 pistol. PNP personnel from Olutanga MPS conducted follow-up operation and investigation for the possible identity and arrest of the suspect/s.

Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Sumagdang, Isabela City, Basilan at about 5:20 PM of January 23, 2021, wherein victim identified as Nonoy Villanueva Iraham, 55 y/o, male, active CAFGU member and a resident of Purok Yakal, Barangay San Rafael, Isabela City was shot to death by an unidentified suspect. Investigation disclosed that the victim driving his tricycle bearing plate number tc-0901-203737 with MTOP number o568, upon reaching the placed-on incident suspect waylaid the victim and suddenly fired the victim twice with the use of .45 Cal pistol that hit on his back and exited on his chest that cause his instantaneous death. Further another victim a passerby identified as Nurshaina Ilul Sergio, 20 years old, single, and a resident of Purok Sunshine, Barangay Sumagdang, Isabela City was also hit on her lower right leg while traversing at the place of incident, onboard a single mc driven by Dinggoy Jalal Sergio, 28 years old of the same place. Victim Nurshaina Ilul Sergio was brought to Basilan Community Hospital for immediate medical treatment. Recovered at the crime scene were two empty shells and one slug of Cal .45 pistol. PNP personnel of Isabela City Police Station conducted follow-up investigation to determine the motive and possible arrest of the suspects.

Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Pasilnahut Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:15 PM of January 23, 2021. Sibuco Municipal Police identified the victim as Salim Pillay, 48 years old, male, married, and a resident of Pasilnahut, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was shot to death by unidentified suspects using caliber .45 hitting on the right chest and left arm. After the incident suspect left the crime scene. Recovered from the crime scene were three empty shells of cal. 45, and one slug. Victim’s cadaver was turned-over to his wife in the person of Isma Usman Addil. Personnel of Sibuco MPS are now conducting follow-up investigation to determine the motive and possible arrest of the suspect.
Stabbing Incident
Stabbing incident transpired at fishing vessel F/V Manawag i while docking at seaport of Barangay Sta, Maria Siocon Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:15 pm of january 23, 2021, wherein the victim identified as Harry Fernandez, 51 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of Bawing, General Santos City was allegedly stabbed by suspect identified as Eulogio Coronel Jr, 53 years old, married, chief cook, and a resident of Apopong, General Santos City, both crew members of the fishing vessel F/V Manawag i of JJV fishing registered at General Santos City. Initial investigation disclosed after the suspect stabbed the victim, he committed suicide by stabbing himself using the same knife and able to throw the knife into the sea. The victim and the suspect were brought to Siocon District Hospital by other crew members. The victim declared dead upon arrival by attending physician while the suspect sustained severe injuries and confined at the said hospital. Siocon MPS is now conducting follow up investigation regarding the incident.
P170,000.00 Shabu Yield from 4 Drug Pushers in Zamboanga City
Four individuals, one of them listed as high value individual drug personalities were arrested by the different drug enforcement police units of Zamboanga City Police Office in a separate drug buy bust operation conducted at the different Barangays in Zamboanga City on January 23, 2021.
Radzmin Addin y Taha, 38 years old, male, single, jobless (listed in Data Base as HVI Level-2) and Sulaiman Parila y Yusop aka “Sulaiman”, 37 years old, fisherman, (newly identified) were arrested by operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 9 led by PMAJ Orlyn P Leyte in a drug buy bust operation at Barangay Recodo, Zamboanga City at 7:30 PM of January 23, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were Eight (8) sachets of suspected shabu with estimated DDB value of 23,800.00 pesos weighing 3.5 grams and Two (2) bills of 100.00 pesos registered marked money. Confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Lab Office for examination while subjects are presently under the custody of said police station for proper disposition.
Laila Sulaiman y Sakiral, 22 year old, female, was arrested by operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 led by PMAJ Chester N Natividad in a drug buy bust operation at Barangay Mariki, Zamboanga City at 9:30 PM of January 23, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were Thirteen (13) sachets of suspected shabu with estimated DDB value of 50,000.00 pesos weighing 7.35 grams and One (1) bill of 500.00 pesos registered marked money. Confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Lab Office for examination while subject is presently under the custody of said police station for proper disposition.
Rodel Salvador y Candido, 42 years old, was arrested by operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 8 led by PCPT Allan Benedict R Rosete buy bust operation at Tumaga Porcentro, Barangay Tumaga, Zamboanga City at 10:30 PM of January 23, 2021. Recovered from his possession were Four (4) assorted sachets of suspected shabu with estimated DDB value of 100,000.00 pesos and One (1) bill of 500.00 pesos marked money with an estimated grams of 15.1 grams. He is now under the custody of said police station in preparation for filing of appropriate charges in court.
Farmer Arrested in Baliguian for the Crime of Rape
Police operatives of Regional Intelligence Division 9, 2nd Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, Baliguian Municipal Police Station and Sindangan Municipal Police Station conducted law enforcement operation at Sitio Maluyok, Brgy Linay, Baliguian, Zamboanga del Norte at about 6:25 AM of January 23, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Aurencio Mangpang Torres, 53 years old, farmer, single and a resident of Sitio Maluyok, Brgy Linay, Baliguian, who has a standing Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape (two counts) in relation to RA 7610 with Criminal Case no. s-5459 and s-5460 issued by Hon. Reymar D Lacaya, Presiding Judge, Branch 11 Regional Trial Court 9, on November 26, 2020 with no bail recommended. He is now under the custody of Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.
Man Arrested in Sindangan for Violation of RA 10175- Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012
Intel operatives of Sindangan Municipal Police Station conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 11:20 AM of January 23, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Winston Mabala Tan, 59 years old, male, married, and a resident of Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte. He was arrested by virtue warrant of arrest for the crime of “RA 10175- Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012” docketed under Criminal Cases No. 121,122, 123, 124, 125 and 126-2021-DPL issued and signed by Hon. Jose Rene G. Dondoyano, Presiding Judge, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 6, Dipolog City dated January 20, 2021, with bail bond recommended amounting to ₱ 60,000.00 each. He is now under the custody of Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.
4 Arrested, 13 Fighting Cocks Siezed in Dapitan City Operation Against Illegal Gambling
Police operative of Dapitan City Police Station conducted Intel driven operation against illegal gambling at Brgy. Hilltop, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 2:10 PM of January 23, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Giovane Econg, 26 yrs. old, single, and a resident of Brgy. Burgos, Dapitan City: Berto Largo Ranacia, 57 yrs. old, married, and a resident of Brgy. Hilltop, Dapitan City: Ricardo Elemia Duran, 55 yrs. old, married, and a resident of Brgy. Ilaya, Dapitan City, And Lino Adrias Sacal, 51 yrs. old, married, and a resident of Brgy. Sulangon, Dapitan City. Confiscated during the operation were 13 fighting cocks (9 dead and 4 live); two gaffs, and bet money amounting to P550.00. Arrested persons are now in the police custody of Dapitan City Police Station for filing of appropriate charges.
