Robbery Incident
A robbery incident transpired at National Highway, Purok Malipayon, Pag-asa, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur near Fernandez carenderia, at around 11:00 PM of July 17, 2021. Victims were identified as Dexter Ang Carreon, male, 36 years old, married, businessman, a resident of Purok Badian, Brgy. Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur and Joan Fernandez Carreon, female, 30 years old, married, businesswoman, a resident of Purok Badian, Brgy. Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur. The victims were allegedly robbed by two (2) unidentified suspects. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, while the victims were on board on their motorcycle, two (2) unidentified suspects, both wearing gray sweat shirt, on board a red/black XRM125 motorcycle appeared from their left side and pointed a gun believed to be a cal .45 and declared hold-up to quote “Ayaw mog lihok, kwarta ra ang among tuyo”. Suspects were able to cart away were nineteen thousand (₱ 19, 000.00) cash proceeds from their barbecue business; jewelries amounting to sixty-five thousand (₱ 65, 000.00); and Barangay Identification Cards. The suspects fled towards the Municipality of Guipos. PNP personnel of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station is conducting hot-pursuit operation and follow-up investigation for the identification and apprehension of suspects.
