Shooting Incident

A shooting incident transpired at Enriquez Compound, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City at 5:30 PM of August 12, 2021. Victim was identified as Rustom Bejerano y Tumalinog, 24 years old, male, single and a resident of the said place. He was allegedly shot by two (2) unidentified suspects onboard a motorcycle. Investigation revealed that prior to the incident, the driver was wearing a bonnet cap while the gunman (backrider) was wearing a yellow jersey t-shirt onboard a yellow Yamaha Mio Motorcycle. The suspects fled towards city proper after the commission of the crime while personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 requested for medical assistance for the victim however, said victim was declared dead. Recovered from the crime scene were three (3) empty shell and one (1) slug believed to be of caliber 45. Further, personnel of the said police station are presently conducting thorough investigation to determine the motive of the crime and for the identity of the suspects.

Shooting Incident

A shooting incident transpired at Purok Deep Well, Barangay Lapedian, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at 10:15 PM of August 12, 2021. Victim was identified as Condrado Cupat Sordilla, 25 years old, male, and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Lapedian, Pagadian City. He was allegedly shot by unidentified suspect. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was walking on his way home from a wake/vigil of his neighbor and upon reaching the waiting shed of Purok Deep Well, Barangay Lapedian, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur, an unidentified suspect shot the victim and hitting on the different parts of his body and head that caused his instantaneous death. Evidence recovered were four (4) fired cartridges and two (2) slugs of cal. 45. Victim’s body now lies at Rosalina Sordilla’s residence at Purok 3, Barangay Lapedian, Pagadian City. Pagadian City Police Station is still conducting follow-up investigation to determine the motive of the incident and the identification of the fleeing suspect.

Dead Body Found in Bayog

A cadaver was found at Purok 2, Barangay Balukbahan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur at about 7:00 AM of August 12, 2021. The cadaver was identified as Wenie Alasa Tumanda, 27 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Balukbahan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. Investigation revealed that at about 7:00 AM of August 12, 2021, one Rodrigo Sumayaw, 52 years old, married, farmer by occupation, a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Balukbahan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur discovered the cadaver without upper garment, he noticed that the cadaver has hacked wounds at the right shoulder and was already at the decomposition stage that prompted him to report said incident to their Punong Barangay Julito Endoy; Motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

Parking Boy Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Guiwan

PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Barangay Guiwan, Zamboanga City at 5:50 PM of August 12, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Nur Harris Ulla Asa a.k.a. “Laleng”, 40 years old, male, married, parking boy, highschool graduate, and a resident of Barangay Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were seven (7) sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 6,800.00 weighing 1 gram and three (3) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered sachets of suspected shabu will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Baliwasan

PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Barangay Baliwasan, Zamboanga City at 5:30 PM of August 12, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Benhar Manalo y Emong, 22 years old, male, married, jobless, elementary level, and a resident of Barangay Lower Calarian, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were four (4) sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 6, 800.00 weighing 1 gram, one (1) coin purse and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered sachets of suspected Shabu will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Sangali

PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 conducted a buy-bust operation on illegal drugs at Islamic, Brgy. Sangali, Zamboanga City at about 10:00 PM of August 12, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Totong Jumalun y Ubahin a.k.a. “Totong”, 27 years old, male, married, elementary level, jobless, resident of Sitio Islamic. Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City. Confiscated from his possession were one (1) transparent plastic sachet, one (1) cigarette pack labelled “Bravo”, seven (7) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 3,000.00 weighing 0.44 gram and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Upper Calarian

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 8 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok 10, Flamingo, Brgy. Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City at 12:10 AM of August 13, 2021 that resulted in the arrest of Azel Lamani y Arasain a.k.a “Azel”, 35 years old, male, single, Elementary level, jobless and resident of Purok 10, Flamingo, Brgy Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City. Confiscated from his possession were nine (9) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 5,000.00 weighing 0.73 gram and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation for filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
