Police Cordillera Nets ₱450.1-M Worth Of Drugs In 3 Months

The non-stop campaign against illegal drugs of various units of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) resulted in the confiscations and destructions of ₱ 450, 116,369.88 worth of dangerous drugs in a three- month operation.

PROCOR Director PBGen. Ronald Oliver Lee fulfilled his promised upon his assumption as the regional director last April 5, 2021, to intensify the campaign against criminality and illegal drugs in the region.

In the campaign against illegal drugs, 168 anti-illegal drugs operations were conducted from April 5, 2021 that resulted to the destructions of millions worth of including shabu and marijuana plants

The operations resulted in the arrest of 151 drug personalities that includes 76 high value individuals, 40 street level individuals and 35 others who are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Moreover, with the help of concerned citizens and relentless effort of law enforcers, 85 anti-illegal gambling operations were conducted that resulted in the arrest of 298 individuals and seizure of ₱ 555,054.00 worth of cash used in illegal gambling activities.

With the intensified implementation of search warrants, 333 loose firearms were confiscated, recovered and surrendered from 289 police operations.

Twenty-four criminal cases on RA 10591 otherwise known as “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act” were already filed in court against the suspects.

The manhunt operations conducted against wanted personalities resulted in the arrest of 457 individuals. (Joseph Manzano, RPN DZBS Baguio OIC|PROCOR-PIO)
