PNP, LGU Officials Witness Turnover Of ₱5 Million Worth Of New Police Station Building

    Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City – High-ranking officials from Police Regional Office (PRO)13 and the Local Government Unit (LGU) attended the blessing and turnover of ₱ 5 million worth of new police station building in Mainit town, Surigao del Norte last Friday, June 25.

    PBGEN. ROEL B. ACIDRE, PRO13 Deputy Regional Director for Administration, spearheaded the ribbon cutting and unveiling of marker as the guest of honor and speaker in the presence of the Municipal Mayor Honorable Crisanta O. Mondano.

    Also graced the occasion were the municipal officials; PLTCOL. JOSEPH ESTRADA, Chief of the Regional Project Management Unit 13; PLTCOL. APOLLO ABAO, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration of Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office; PMAJ. EDSEL CARAMONTE, OIC, Regional Logistics Research and Development Division; and PCapt. JERRY M. FERNANDEZ, Chief of Mainit Municipal Police Station.

    Rev. Fr. Jommy A. Burgos officiated the blessing of the new standard B/C type police station building.

    The three-story building, including the rooftop where the ceremonies were held, cost Php5,430,581.74 and has a land area of 521 square meters donated by the LGU-Mainit.

    Police Brigadier General ROMEO M CARAMAT JR, PRO13 Director emphasized that the construction of the new police station was made possible due to the partnership between the police and the local government unit of Mainit.

    “May this partnership of the PNP and LGU become strengthened especially in the promotion of peace and order. I enjoin our police personnel to continue living to the ideals of the organization by providing better service that the people can be proud of,” the PRO Top Cop added. (PMaj. Dorothy M. Tumulak)
