Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 has arrested 238 wanted persons, 25 drug violators, 41 on loose firearms and 17 communist terrorist group (CTG) surrendered in its bloodless Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO), in a single day on May 14, Police Brigadier General ROMEO M CARAMAT JR., PRO13 Regional Director announced.
Of the 238 wanted persons, PNP Caraga managed to round up 150 most wanted persons (MWP) and 88 other wanted persons (WP) of which had warrants issued by different courts in the region.
Among from them is a Communist Terrorist Group Regional Top Priority Target Marcela Basa Diaz who was arrested for Attempted Homicide. She was nabbed by the City Intelligence of Butuan City Police Office, Regional Intelligence Division 13, Provincial Intelligence Unit of Surigao del Sur and 1st Surigao del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company around 4:30AM in Purok Caimito, Brgy. Bayan, Marihatag, Surigao del Sur.
The Deputy Secretary of Guerilla Front Committee 14, SRC SOUTHLAND, NEMRC Deonesio Doloretos Indoyon also known as Ronie/Ondoy, 55, was also apprehended by the intelligence unit of Caraga region in his residence in Poblacion 3, Carcar City, Cebu for multiple murder, multiple attempted murder and kidnapping and serious illegal detention.
“On orders of the Chief PNP Police General GUILLERMO LORENZO ELEAZAR, PRO13 will continue to mount aggressive police operations against wanted persons; violators of laws detrimental to public health and safety; and other illegal activities,” says RD CARAMAT JR..
Caraga’s anti-drug unit confiscated a total of 34.0579 grams of shabu and nine grams of marijuana worth Php402, 285.00 while a total of 25 arrested persons on buy-bust operations.
While on 50 police operations on loose firearms, a total of 82 firearms were seized and 41 persons were arrested including the 44-years-old Barangay Captain Roberto Napole Dumalagan of Brgy. Bolhoon, San Miguel, Surigao del Sur where joint personnel of San Miguel Municipal Police Station and 2nd Surigao Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company implemented the Search Warrant that resulted in the arrest of Dumalagan and the confiscation of a Caliber .45 1911-AI Pistol with Serial No. 052287 loaded with two rounds ammunition.
Out of 82 firearms, five are light weapons; 77 short firearms (Caliber 45, 9mm, shotguns, Caliber .22 rifle, and revolvers); 28 explosives and 698 ammunition.
There are 17 CTG members who also surrendered to authorities during the campaign.
