The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday logged 10,748 additional Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 2,604,040.
There were also 16,523 recoveries and 61 deaths reported on Monday night.
Of the total number of cases, 4.1 percent (106,160) are active cases, 94.4 percen5 (2,459,052) have recovered, and 1.49 percent (38,828) have died.
There were 107 duplicates removed from the total case count. Of these, 71 are recoveries and 1 is a death.
Moreover, 23 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
All laboratories were operational on October 2, 2021 but 3 labs were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.
Based on data in the last 14 days, the 3 non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 0.3 percent of samples tested and 0.3 percent of positive individuals.
