THE Department of Health (DOH) on Sunday logged 5,479 additional Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 1,548,755.
The DOH also recorded 5,573 recoveries and 93 deaths.
Of the total number of cases, 3.5 percent (54,262) are active, 94.7 percent (1,467,269) have recovered, 1.76 percent (27,224) have died.
Five duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 3 are recoveries.
Moreover, 50 cases previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
All laboratories were operational on July 23, 2021 but 3 laboratories were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.
Based on data in the last 14 days, the 3 non-reporting laboratories contribute, on average, 0.1 percent of samples tested and 0.2 percent of positive individuals.
