Bacolod City – The Provincial Development Council (PDC) of Negros Occidental approved P981 million worth of projects and programs during its regular meeting held recently at the Provincial Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City.
Of the P981 million allocation, a total of P636 million will go to different programs, projects and activities, while P345 million will go to the loan amortization of the provincial government, disclosed Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz.
The PDC also approved different projects and programs for 2024, funded by 20 percent Provincial Development Fund.
Topping the list is the support to priority development programs and projects of local government units and non-government organizations as provincial counterpart under the Office of the Governor amounting to P100,000,000.
Under the Provincial Administrator’s Office, a total of P152 million worth of projects, which includes digitization, development of the provincial Management Information System, applications and portals for interconnectivity worth P10 million.
Provincial Integrated Safe Water Program in the amount of P52 million, and the improvement, upgrading and expansion of provincial government facilities, hospitals and other structures, with an earmarked budget of P152 million. (Gilbert Bayoran via tvds photo by tvds)
