In line with the celebration of Environment Month, a Mangrove Tree Planting event was held at Ambulon, Vincenzo Sagun, ZDS, led by CENR Officer Felipe H. Callorina, Jr. on June 27. This was followed by a Mid-Year Assessment and Team Building activity.
The mangrove tree planting began with a short program. CENR Officer Callorina highlighted the role of mangroves in protecting against storm surges and thanked the BLGU of Ambulon for their support. Hon. Pablito Pansib, Barangay Captain of Ambulon, was also present and delivered a welcome message. Employees of CENRO Guipos and Barangay officials of Ambulon planted 100 mangrove propagules in the open mangrove area of the barangay.
After the tree planting, the group moved to a beach resort for the Mid-Year Assessment. Performance awards were given based on accomplishments for the first half of CY 2024.
The mid-year assessment also served as a team building activity which included various games to motivate employees, encourage teamwork, and identify strengths and weaknesses.
CENR Officer Callorina thanked the employees for their hard work and dedication in achieving over half of their targets for the year. He encouraged them to continue working together to meet the remaining targets and maintain a positive working relationship.
