A Turn-over Ceremony and Inauguration was held on July 4th for the new storage facility at the CENRO Ramon Magsaysay Office in Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.
DENR-IX RED Arturo E. Fadriquela praised CENRO RM personnel for their dedication, especially under CENRO Rago’s leadership. “This facility will be crucial for preserving the economic value of confiscated forest materials. Through DENR, we can also support government agencies like DEPED, PNP, and AFP by donating forest products to those in need. I am confident this facility will meet our needs effectively in the future,” stated RED Fadriquela.
Additionally, a plaque was unveiled at the ceremony to acknowledge DENR Regional Office IX for their support in constructing the storage facility, which cost Php 1,963,920.
Present were Regional Executive Director Arturo E. Fadriquela, Assistant Regional Director for Management Services Marie Angelique C. Go, Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Christopher B. Babaran, ZdS PENR Officer Diomides M. Pablo, RM CENR Officer Dionisio B. Rago, ZdS PENRO Chief of Management Services Division Julius James Vela, RM Deputy CENR Officer Juliet O. Loriche, and employees from PENRO Zamboanga del Sur and CENRO Ramon Magsaysay.
The inauguration of the new storage facility marks a milestone in natural resource management, supporting conservation and aiding government efforts by preserving logs, seized forest products, and essential equipment.
