Leon B Postigo MPS received a cellphone call from Pat Khalid Akil of ZNPMFC through cellular phone call that a vehicular traffic incident transpired along the National Highway of Barangay Poblacion, Milanid, Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte on the morning of March 3, 2020.
Upon receipt of the report, personnel of Leon B Postigo MPS led by PMSg Mohamma Taupic A Masakin together with PSSg Renel L Trebajo, PSSg Al-lito P Postigo and PSSg Renante T Icamina, onboard on a PNP marked vehicle proceeded to the place of incident.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 10:50 AM of same date, a vehicular traffic incident occurred along the National Highway of Barangay Poblacion, Milanid, Leon B Postigo, wherein a Tricycle travelling from Barangay Poblacion Leon B. Postigo bound to Sindangan ZN driven by Eric Antifuesto Boganotan, 40 years old, male, Single, Filipino, College level, and a resident of Barangay Talinga Leon B. Postigo, ZN was accidentally bumped on a Dump Truck travelling the opposite direction, bound to Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte, driven by Alfred Gansali Racal, 50 years old.
Further investigation conducted disclosed that the tricycle was overloading with 13 passengers including the driver that he lost control to maneuver and bumped straight to the dump truck.
Boganotan and other passengers sustained serious injuries, but Boganotan did not survive. Passengers were immediately brought to Sindangan District Hospital and Zamboanga del Norte Medical Center for medical treatment.
The two vehicles involved were brought at Leon B Postigo MPS for proper disposition.
