Siargao airport in Sayak, Del Carmen will open to commercial flight on December 1, 2020.
Provincial Spokesman Simeon Vicente Castrence announced this morning over RPN DXKS Radio Program “Hingas Baranggayanon CoViD-19 Sumpoon”, the Provincial Government is now finalizing the executive order on the reopening of our 2 domestic airports in Sayak, Del Carmen and Brgy. Luna, Surigao City this coming December 1, 2020.
Mayors’ League of Surigao del Norte President Atty. Ma. Liza Resurreccion said every municipality in Siargao Island, including the mainland will implement their strict health protocols to prevent the spread of CoViD-19.
In Surigao del Norte, only the municipalities of San Benito and Burgos do not have cases of CoViD-19 confirmed positive.
In Pilar where the famous Magpupungko Beach and Tidal Pool is situated, the quarantine for 14 days of returning LSIs and ROFs will still be implemented.
In Surigao City, Administrator Atty. Jerry Centro said the QR Coded e-Health Pass must be required upon entering any business establishments. This method of scanning the e-Health Pass is very important for contact tracing. (RPN DXKS Surigao)
