One day Law Enforcement Police Operations netted five suspects for selling of pirated DVD’s and CD’s, violation of IATF guidelines, and Illegal cockfighting locally known as “Tupada”.
An Entrapment Operation were conducted at Public market, Barangay Campo, Bacuag, Surigao del Norte by joint operatives of CIDG 13-Surigao Del Norte PFU together with Bacuag Municipal Police Station and PIU SDN in coordination with BACUAG MPS, against optical media materials such as pirated CD’s and DVD’s in relation of the CIDG flagship project OPLAN MEGASHOPPER that resulted to the arrest of mentioned below suspect:
WHO:
- AMINAH DIRO y COMA, 47 years old, married,
and a resident of New mines site, Sitio Mapaso, Brgy. Magsaysay, Placer, Surigao del Norte; (Pirated CD’s and DVD’s;
Confiscated items:
- One (1) pc. genuine 50 peso bill with Serial number EJ323627 with initial marking “” and “RCV”; (buy-bust money)
- ONE (1) pc. DVD (buy-bust item); and
3.Five-hundred (500) pcs. assorted pirated DVD’s and CD’s; (confiscated items)
Details:
All confiscated assorted pirated CD’s and DVD’s with the total estimated market value of Php 25,000.00
In Sitio Cabalawan, Brgy. Rizal, Surigao City at about 2:30 PM Detectives of CIDG Surigao del Norte PFU together with PIU SDN , Surigao City Police Station in coordination with Surigao Del Norte PPO conducted police operation against illegal cockfighting (Tupada) that resulted to the arrest of the mentioned below suspects and confiscation of the following pieces of evidence:
Confiscated items:
- Two (2) pcs. Live fighting cocks;
- One (1) set gaffing paraphernalia;
- Six (6) pcs. gaff for fighting cocks;
- Two (2) pcs. improvised bag for cock, and
- Bet money amounting to ₱ 1,120.00.
WHO:
- DENNIS ONG y CALANG, 46 years old, male ,married and resident of Purok-4, Brgy. San Juan, Surigao City;
- JIMLUZ PALOMO y BORJA , 33 years old, Single ,male and a resident of Purok-11, Navalca St. Brgy. San Juan, Surigao City;
- RODRIGO BOBO y TANJAY, 49 years old, male single and a resident of Purok-12, Brgy. San Juan, Surigao City;
- ALLAN ACHAS y DEL ROSARIO, 25 years old, single, and a resident of Purok-6, San Juan, Surigao City;
All arrested suspects were brought to CIDG Surigao del Norte PFU for documentation and proper disposition while a case for violation of RA 9239, Presidential decree 1602 and IATF guidelines were being prepared for appropriate filling.
