More Than ₱200-K In ‘Shabu’, Seized


Bacolod City – An estimated ₱ 209,304 worth of suspected shabu were seized by policemen here and in Negros Occidental from August 1 to 11, 2021.

₱ 121,584 worth of the said contraband was confiscated in the province, while ₱ 87,720 worth of the same illegal drugs was recovered here.

21 persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations during the said period.

The drug bust operations in the province were conducted in the cities of San Carlos, Cadiz, Kabankalan, Bago, Talisay, and La Carlota, and the towns of San Enrique, and Toboso.

Eighteen persons were arrested in the province, with San Carlos having the biggest drug haul of ₱ 68,000 worth of suspected shabu.

For Bacolod, three individuals were apprehended in Barangays 27, Bata, and Felisa on August 9 and 11.

The buy-bust in Barangay Bata registered the big drug recovery with ₱ 49,640 worth of suspected shabu.

Just last week, the BCPO has seized almost ₱ 2 million worth of illegal drugs within three days.
