Shooting incident occurred at Brgy. Sinonoc, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 7:30 AM of November 10, 2020. The victim was identified as Mark Ponce Tague, 28 years old, and a resident of Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte.
Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was in the vicinity of the house of Lucy Pilarca in Brgy. Sinonoc when two unidentified suspect riding in a black/orange Rusi motorcycle suddenly came and shot the victim several times hitting in the different parts of his body.
The victim was immediately brought to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital for immediate medical attention.
Suspects fled the scene after the incident. Recovered from the crime scene were six spent shells of caliber .9mm pistol.
Personnel of Dapitan City Police Station conducted follow-up investigation to determine the motive and possible arrest of the suspects. (Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office)
