Former Congressman and Mayor, Celso Lobregat, if given the chance to lead the city once again as Mayor will address the pandemic, Coronavirus Disease 2019 scientifically.
Lobregat said “We have to address the pandemic situation scientifically. Saka kita experts, saka kita akel sabe.”
Aside from these they will get the correct and relevant data. These will be analyzed together with the experts and from there do the planning.
“We have to act decisively and with a sense of urgency. There is no tomorrow it is today.” Lobregat said.
Stricter implementation of health protocols will be done, hasten the vaccination, and balance this with the people’s livelihood.
As of September 7, the city has 13,012 total Covid 19 cases, 459 active cases, 11,918recoveries, and 635 deaths.
Recall Lobregat sat as City Mayor from 2004 to 2013. He was also a former district 1 congressman.
Thursday he also formally announced that he is running for Mayor for the 2022 election.
He heads the local Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban) in the city.
