Davao de Oro – Thirteen (13) participants composing of female Former Rebels, CAAs and troops of 25th Infantry Battalion participated in the conduct of Livelihood Skills for Women launched by the Provincial Government Unit of Davao de Oro headed by Hon. Jayvee Tyron Uy through the Provincial Women and Development Council of Davao de Oro headed by Ms. Sholai Lim and 10th Infantry Division Gender and Development Office (GADO) headed by Maj. Davy Siao.
The livelihood skills conducted was Nailcare Treatment conducted for two days offered by Ms. Merlita Morallos and Mr. Mark Jacob Olmilla from the office of the PWDC. The participants also had their practical and received certification for their training. PWDC, 10GAD Office and 25IB will continue to conduct more livelihood skills for women especially to the former rebels, CAAs and troops of this unit.

Through the conduct of livelihood skills, the participants will be able to use what they have learned in the future and can help them earn an income for themselves and their families. In celebration of the International Women’s Month, women must be open in learning new skills, exploring different things and not limiting themselves of what they can do as women.
