Last Vaccination For Health Workers In Davao City On May 11 And 12

Davao City – Active practicing health care workers can still get themselves jabbed with the COVID-19 vaccine, Sinovac, on May 11 and 12 in two separate venues in Davao City.

The Davao City Health Office urged medical frontliners to avail of the free vaccination scheduled at the Buhangin Central Elementary School (BCES) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11. Lying-in and birthing home staff, nurses, midwives, nursing aides, and caregivers aged 18 years old and above will be catered at the BCES.

The BCES will also be the vaccination center for all actively practicing medical and allied health PRC ID-holder health care workers on Wednesday, May 12.

Over at the University of Southeastern Philippines (Obrero Campus), the COVID-19 vaccination will be on a first-come, first-served basis from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, until vaccine supply lasts. It will be intended for rehabilitation and psychiatric facility staff along with the jail and detention center staff.

The requirements that must be presented to avail of the vaccination are government-issued ID; and proof of employment like company ID, stating specific designation, or certificate of employment. PRC holders must present a non-expired PRC ID or a hard copy of proof of renewal schedule. They must also bring their own ballpens.

Medical clearance from the attending physician is required for those with autoimmune disease or those taking steroids; and cancer and transplant patients.

Frontline health workers are under the priority A1 of the national government’s COVID-19 vaccination program.

The CHO will start immunizing senior citizens aged 60 years old and above, who are under the priority A2, on Tuesday at SM lanang from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the IMAX theater lobby and also at the Matina Aplaya Elem School from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (City Information Office | Michael Manguhig, RPN DXKT Davao OIC)
