Kings clobber Koolers to stay unscathed in 12 games in Super League

MICHAEL CALISAAN showed the way as San Juan whipped Batang Kankaloo-Caloocan, 77-63, Monday night to extend its unbeaten run to 12 in the Manila Bankers Life-Pilipinas Super League Pro Division Second Conference Dumper Cup at the Caloocan Sports Complex.

A former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player, Calisaan wound up with a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Kings, while Nikko Panganiban added 14 points and four rebounds.

Ron Dennison also had 11 points as San Juan scored a big follow up to a 94-81 rout of the Pampanga G Lanterns last February 16 and rose to 12-0 won-lost in the league presented by Dumper party-list, Winzir, and Skin Care Depot, co-presented by SCD Cosmetics, and supported by NET 25, Adcon, Wcube Solutions Inc., MDC, Unisol, Don Benitos, and Finn Cotton, with PBA and Gilas Pilipinas great Marc Pingris serving as commissioner.

The Koolers, coming off a 64-72 loss Sta. Rosa last Thursday, fell to 9-5 in fifth place.

Manila edged 1Munti, 111-109, in the other game to improve to 8-6.

Macky Acosta barely missed a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds, while Rence Alcoriza had 20 and seven, points, respectively.

Levi Dela Cruz, Wowie Escosio, and Clark Bautista also added 17, 15, and 15 points, respectively for the Citystars.

John Tayongtong paced Caloocan with 12 points, while Gabby Espinas had 10 points.

John Cantimbuhan scored 20 points for the Emeralds, who dropped to 4-9, while Domark Matillano contributed 18 points.

RJ Arciaga (16), John Sarmiento (13), Marlon Basco (12), and Jan Quinto (11) hit double figures for 1Munti.
