Iriga: Rosal Backs New Oas Public Market

Albay Governor Noel E. Rosal reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s commitment to Oas by expressing full support for the construction of the new Oas Public Market and pledging additional infrastructure projects during the groundbreaking ceremony for the market’s ₱40-million Phase 1.

The two-storey public market, funded through local resources, is expected to expand business opportunities and contribute to the municipality’s long-term economic development upon its completion within 450 calendar days.

Governor Rosal said the project marks another step toward building a more progressive and investment-friendly municipality.

He commended Oas Mayor John Kenneth Trinidad for advancing a long-term development initiative that is expected to benefit residents and local businesses.

Rosal said the modern public market will provide a safer and more organized trading environment while attracting investments, creating employment opportunities, and stimulating economic activity.

To further support the municipality’s development, the governor announced an initial ₱3 million allocation for the installation of solar streetlights in the town center.

He also committed an additional ₱4 million to improve lighting in the poblacion and another ₱5 million for solar streetlights along the municipality’s West Coast area to enhance public safety, tourism, and local infrastructure.

Rosal likewise assured residents that the Provincial Government will continue supporting projects that strengthen local infrastructure and improve public services.
