The Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) led by PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON, RD has received augmentation of personnel from Police Regional Office 8 (PRO8) to support ongoing rescue operations in areas affected by severe flooding due to Typhoon “Kristine.”
A total of 222 personnel, including members from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Army, and Philippine Coast Guard, have been deployed to aid in the rescue and retrieval efforts. Equipped with trucks, rubber boats, and other vital rescue gear, the additional forces are anticipated to significantly expedite operations in heavily flooded areas.
PRO5 remains committed to ensure the safety and swift response needed for the affected communities as we work closely with partner agencies to bring much-needed assistance to those affected by the typhoon.
