In recognition of their outstanding contributions to maintaining peace and order in the community, five personnel were presented with awards during the Monday flag-raising ceremony held today, June 2, 2025, at the PRO5 Grandstand, Camp BGen Simeon A. Ola, Legazpi City.
The awarding ceremony was led by PBGEN RONALD V GAYO, DRDA, PRO5, along with members of the Command Group.
Awarded the Medalya ng Kadakilaan were PSMS Orlie B Olaño and PMSg Francis B Bercilla of the Regional Headquarters, in recognition of their meritorious accomplishment during the anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation conducted on November 14, 2024, in Brgy. Bangkilingan, Tabaco City which resulted in the arrest of one suspect and the seizure of 147.467 grams of “shabu,” with value of P1,002,775.60.
Meanwhile, the “Explanation to Recognition” of Medalya ng Papuri was awarded to PSMS Freddie T Asuncion, PMSg Jay C Borjal, and Pat Karen A Javier for their invaluable service during their deployment in Legazpi City on May 11, 2025, as traffic patrollers. Under “Oplan Presensya,” these personnel went above and beyond the call of duty, extending their service beyond scheduled hours to restore normal traffic flow amid a period of disruption. Their exceptional leadership, dedication, and effective traffic management ensured public safety and maintained order during the incident.
Also present at the ceremony were Regional and Personal Staff; Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers; and Non-Uniformed Personnel, all of whom showed enthusiasm and vigor in beginning the week with a strong sense of purpose and commitment to public service. ###
