As part of its ongoing efforts to encourage members of left-leaning organizations to return to the fold of the law, the PNP Bicol has once again welcomed a voluntary surrender.
On June 3, 2025, at around 12:30 PM, personnel from San Fernando Municipal Police Station facilitated the surrender of a member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) identified by the alias “Jun.” The surrender was made at San Fernando MPS, Barangay Bayanihan, San Fernando, Masbate.
“Jun” is a member of Milisyang Bayan, Squad 3, Platoon 1, KLG North, SRC4, operating under the command of Mario Esparaguerra a.k.a. “Ka Mayong.”
He will undergo standard debriefing protocols and be enrolled in the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program which aims to support former rebels as they reintegrate into society and begin a new chapter in their lives.
PNP Bicol, under the leadership of PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON, RD, PRO 5, continues to call on remaining CTG members to surrender.
“There is still time to choose peace and transformation—your government stands ready to help you rebuild your future”, he said.
