In a groundbreaking partnership, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) has collaborated with the Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) to extend vital services to marginalized and underprivileged communities, particularly in remote barangays across the province.

Through the PGA’s largest multi-services caravan, known as the GGL Caravan or “Gobyernong Gumagalaw at Lumalapit sa Tao,” the OVP has significantly expanded its medical assistance efforts, providing immediate support worth P5,000, including medications, insulin, wheelchairs, and other essential supplies.

One of the key requisites for availing of this assistance is a certificate of indigency, which individuals can obtain from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) present at every caravan.

This collaborative effort highlights the commitment of both the OVP and the PGA to bring crucial government services closer to the people, ensuring that even the most underprivileged members of society receive the support they need.

Governor Edcel ‘Grex’ Lagman conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the OVP, led by Vice President Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio, emphasizing the significance of prioritizing the health sector, especially for Albayanos who struggle to afford essential medications and medical expenses.

This ongoing partnership ensures that the medical support provided by the OVP will be consistently available in every GGL Caravan organized by the Province, further enhancing efforts to improve healthcare accessibility and affordability for all.

The multi-services initiative led by the PGA offers a comprehensive range of government programs, drawing on the resources and expertise of various PGA departments to address a wide range of community needs and concerns.
