The observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ in the Bicol Region has been generally peaceful. This was achieved through tight security measures and intensified police visibility.
With the directives issued by PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON, RD PRO5, the unit implemented strict inspections in cemeteries, terminals, and other areas where large gatherings were anticipated. Police presence was heightened ensuring easy access in case of emergencies and unnecessary incidents.
PRO5 also utilized social media platforms to keep the public informed, sharing timely reminders and safety tips to prevent criminal activities.
In addition to these measures, PRO5 continued its anti-criminality operations, targeting wanted persons and individuals involved in illegal activities such as drug trafficking and possession of loose firearms. These operations played a significant role in maintaining peace and order during the celebration.
PBGEN DIZON commended all personnel for their hard work and commitment to ensuring a secure and orderly observance of Undas.
“I extend my sincerest gratitude to our police personnel for their untiring efforts and vigilance. Their commitment to the safety of our communities is a reflection of our shared vision for a safer, more peaceful region. This accomplishment would not have been possible without the cooperation of our citizens, whose observance of the rules and respect for one another were instrumental in ensuring a smooth, secure holiday”, RD DIZON added.
