Through this initiative, a total of 4,100 bags of rice, each containing 10 kilos were sold regionwide, ensuring access to essential food supplies at only P29 per kilo.
The rice distribution per area is as follows:
• NIA Regional Office and Camarines Sur IMO: 2,000 bags
• Albay: 500 bags
• Sorsogon: 500 bags
• Catanduanes: 500 bags
• Masbate: 350 bags
• Camarines Norte: 250 bags
The rice was sourced through NIA’s Contract Farming Program under the KADIWA ng Pangulo initiative, supporting both local farmers and consumers.
In addition to the rice program, the Department of Agriculture-RO5’s KADIWA on Wheels offered fresh vegetables and local products from farmers, further promoting access to affordable and nutritious food.
