On July 30, 2024, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWAD) Office of Daraga spearheaded a series of simultaneous sessions aimed at addressing the challenges faced by selected grantees of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from the northern barangays.
The sessions, which focused on “The Current Challenges of Children and Youth of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program” and “Fostering Positive Family Communication,” are part of the module “Sustaining the Interest of Children and Youth in School.”
These sessions, held in barangay market site, Barangay Sagpon, and on the 3rd floor of AECID Building in Daraga, Albay, specifically targeted grantees whose monitored children are not attending school (NAS) due to various reasons.
The event also featured discussions led by the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Mobile Teachers of Daraga North District to encourage the attendees to consider enrolling their children in this alternative mode of education.
