Iriga: LTP Bicol empowers women through free theoretical driving course in celebration of National Women’s Month

In line with the celebration of National Women’s Month 2025, the LTO Bicol successfully conducted a Free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) on March 11-12, 2025. This initiative aimed to promote road safety and empower women by equipping them with essential knowledge and skills in responsible driving.

The LTO Pamplona District Office conducetd a Free TDC in Libmanan, Camarines Sur, benefiting 149 aspiring female drivers. Chief Nero D. Claro emphasized the significance of this training in enabling women to actively participate in the country’s transportation sector.

The success of the seminar was made possible through the unwavering support of Mayor Jesus F. Camara, the Sangguniang Bayan of Libmanan led by Vice Mayor Jerry R. Tendero, and the LGU of Libmanan, who provided the venue, resources, logistics, and public awareness efforts. Special recognition is also given to Mr. Jovito “Budie” Palo, Jr. from the Office of the Mayor for his dedication in coordinating information dissemination and securing the necessary facilities.

Similarly, the LTO Iriga District Office conducted a Free Theoretical Driving Course seminar at the DEC Center, while the LTO Pili Extension Office held its TDC session, offering simple tokens to female student permit applicants. The LTO Labo District Office and LTO Daet District Office also conducted seminars to further extend this opportunity to women in their respective areas.

Through this initiative, LTO Bicol continues to champion road safety and inclusivity, ensuring that more women are empowered to become responsible and knowledgeable drivers.
