Shoppers and onlookers at the Bishop Francisco Gainza Trade Fair were treated to an unexpected showcase of world-class cultural performances by Iriga City’s Folkloric Dance Troupe and top vocalists at Robinson’s Place, Naga City. The event, hosted by Iriga’s top emcees Ms. Rhoda Agudo and Mr. Ezekiel Zymond Delas Llagas Nueva, left the audience in awe with a musical concert celebrating Bicolano culture and artistry.
The highlight of the evening was the LGU Iriga Folkloric Dance Troupe’s flawless interpretation of the Bicol classic “Sarung Banggi,” along with a series of Filipino cultural dances and OPM favorites. The troupe, under the direction of choreographer John Jerome Rebangcos and artistic director Romeo Abaño, delivered an exceptional performance, seamlessly blending traditional styles with modern flair. Each routine showcased not only the dancers’ technical skill but also their passion for bringing Iriga City’s cultural heritage to life.
Complementing the dance performances were powerful vocal renditions by Iriga’s finest singers, including City Councilor Hon. Melnan “Daday” Murallo-Asanza, renowned local performer Ms. Lalaine Mora-Lozano, and rising star Ms. Stephanie Pili from the Civil Security Unit. Their soulful and energetic performances captivated the crowd, further elevating the night’s festive atmosphere
