Iriga: Iriga City distributes P1.1 Million for Tinagba 2025 Street Dance Competition

    The City Government of Iriga, led by Mayor Rex C. Oliva, has allocated a total of ₱1.1 million in financial assistance to 11 participating schools for the highly anticipated Street Dance Competition in the upcoming Tinagba Festival 2025.

    Spearheaded by the Iriga Culture, Heritage, Arts, and Tourism Office under the leadership of Engr. Nona Vanessa M. Santiago, the funding aims to support schools in covering expenses such as costumes and other necessities.

    The distribution of the assistance was held last January 28, 2025, at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall, attended by school principals and representatives.

    The recipient schools include Rinconada National Technical Vocational School, Sagrada National High School, San Agustin Stand-Alone Senior High School, Zeferino Arroyo High School, San Pedro National High School, Santiago Integrated School, San Antonio National High School, San Juan Integrated School, Perpetual Help National High School, and La Consolacion College Iriga City.

    Each school received ₱100,000, marking a historic moment for the Tinagba Festival as this year features an unprecedented 11 contingents competing in the street dance event.

    Mayor Rex Oliva emphasized the importance of supporting local schools to showcase their creativity and talent in the celebration of Iriga’s rich culture and heritage.

    Engr. Santiago added that the assistance underscores the city’s commitment to making Tinagba 2025 an unforgettable celebration.

    With this financial boost, the participating schools are expected to deliver spectacular performances that reflect Iriga’s vibrant traditions and artistry.
