The City Government of Iriga, under the leadership of Mayor Rex C. Oliva, proudly recognized the outstanding achievements of Irigueño athletes who represented the city and the country in the recently concluded Thailand Open 2025 International Cheerleading and Dance Competition, held last October at the Suryadhep Music Sala, Rangsit University, Thailand. These young talents brought honor and pride to Iriga City through performances that showcased not only skill and artistry but also discipline, teamwork, and the indomitable Irigueño spirit.
The Movement Style Dance Company emerged as Champion, with team members Krystelle Ann D. Bagaporo, Glorynin M. Moit, Ezra P. De Villa, Adeline Lykzhel C. Padua, Joshua Ivan DL. Dimabayao, Cejay G. Repatacodo, John Mark S. Racelis, and Bernie A. Boquiron leading the charge. Their victory was further highlighted by wins in the Urban Cheer Dance Doubles category, where Bagaporo and Repatacodo claimed 1st place, while Moit and Dimabayao earned a commendable 2nd place finish — a testament to Iriga’s growing excellence in dance and cheer performance.
Special mention goes to Artistic Director and Coach Rodrigo C. Salando, Jr., whose guidance and mentorship were instrumental in the team’s outstanding performance.
In celebration of their triumph, the team performed their award-winning routine during the Flag Raising Ceremony on November 3, 2025, at the CDRRMO Multi-Purpose Covered Court, earning applause and admiration from city officials and employees. Mayor Rex lauded the group for bringing international recognition to Iriga, emphasizing that their success reflects the city’s commitment to nurturing world-class talent through passion, perseverance, and teamwork.
