Four female personnel of Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) were given due recognition on March 10, 2025, at the Maringal Lounge for their outstanding contributions during a series of police operations. Their dedication and commitment to duty exemplify the core values of the Philippine National Police in serving and protecting the community.
The awarding ceremony was led by PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON, Regional Director of PRO5, along with the Command Group.
The Medalya ng Kadakilaan was awarded to PSMgt Glenda Lopez Berango and PCpl Lenie Pura Buenavides of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 5 for their role in a successful buy-bust operation in Camarines Sur. Their efforts resulted in the confiscation of shabu worth PhP1,812,206.80, striking a significant blow against illegal drug activities in the region.
Meanwhile, the Medalya ng Kagalingan was conferred upon PCpl Apple Joy Pastoral Sablaon of Libmanan Municipal Police Station, Camarines Sur PPO, for her pivotal role in the arrest of the No. 6 Regional Most Wanted Person of PRO5 in Mabalacat, Pampanga. Her dedication and vigilance contributed to bringing a high-profile fugitive to justice.
Additionally, the Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya was awarded to PCpl Crysta Casitas Martinez of the City Mobile Force Company, Naga City Police Office. This recognition highlights her exemplary service in facilitating the successful implementation of the Community-Based Mushroom Production under the City Mobile Force Company’s Best Practice: Project KKK (Kabuhayan Kaiba Nin Kapulisan). In collaboration with the City Agriculture Office, Local Government Unit, and CMFC Advisory Group, this initiative has empowered local communities by providing livelihood opportunities to 50 beneficiaries in Balatas, Concepcion Grande, and Panicuason through income-generating training activities.
PBGEN DIZON commended the awardees for their dedication and exemplary service. He encouraged all personnel to continue their efforts in maintaining peace and security in the Bicol region. He also reaffirmed the commitment of PNP Bicol to uphold integrity, professionalism, and discipline in serving the public.
