Iriga: FIVE DRUG PUSHERS ARRESTED IN PNP BICOL’S ANTI-DRUG OPS

Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City—PNP Bicol arrested five drug violators in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Camarines Norte on December 2, 2024. These operations are part of the ongoing intensified campaign against illegal drugs in the region.

At about 12:30 AM, authorities conducted an operation in Barangay Sta. Elena, Talisay, leading to the arrest of a 42-year-old construction worker identified as alias “Ron.” The suspect, classified as a street-level individual, was caught in possession of 16.4 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 111,520.00.

Later that day, at around 4:23 PM, another operation was conducted in Barangay Tugos, Paracale. This resulted in the arrest of four individuals classified as high-value targets in the government’s anti-drug campaign. The suspects were identified as “Wil,” “Maria,” “Geoffrey,” and “Kantoy,” all residents of Barangay Tugos. During the operation, the team seized 14.60 grams of suspected shabu, valued at Php 99,280.00.

The suspects are currently detained, and cases for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them. The confiscated illegal drugs have been submitted for laboratory examination, while the suspects are undergoing custodial investigation.
