On July 9, 2024, the office of Congressman Migz Villafuerte,5th District Representative, and the Province of Camarines Sur, executed the Barangay Visitation and Food Assistance Distribution program. This initiative reached Barangays Sta. Isabel, Cristo Rey, San Rafael, San Ramon, Sagrada, and Antipolo. The program provided much-needed support to the residents, who expressed overwhelming gratitude for the assistance. The distribution of food and essential items was aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by these communities, especially in times of economic difficulty.
Mayor Rex Oliva attended the event and extended his heartfelt thanks to Congressman Migz Villafuerte and Governor Luigi Villafuerte for selecting Iriga City as one of the beneficiaries. He acknowledged the positive impact of such programs on the local population, emphasizing the importance of continued support and cooperation between the provincial government and local communities. The event emphasizes the commitment of local leaders to address the needs of their constituents and foster a sense of solidarity and mutual aid.
