Emergency responders from the Environment, Disaster Management, and Emergency Response Office (EDMERO), along with personnel from the LGUs of Buhi and Garchitorena, recently underwent a rigorous assessment to evaluate their competencies in emergency medical services. The assessment covered key areas such as pre-hospital patient care, ambulance operations, and basic life support.
Spearheaded by EDMERO as a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institution accredited by TESDA, the assessment measured the knowledge, skills, and attitude of responders in real-world emergency scenarios. A total of 43 emergency responders successfully passed all 16 core competencies under the Emergency Medical Services NC II (EMS NC II) qualification of TESDA. With their certification, they are now recognized as competent emergency medical responders, capable of delivering essential healthcare support in disaster and emergency situations.
