The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Buhi, distributed 1,000 relief packs to families in Buhi, Camarines Sur, who were affected by flooding caused by the Shear Lines earlier this year.
The distribution activity was held today, January 24, 2025, at the Buhi Millennium Center, benefiting residents from nine barangays severely impacted by the calamity. The relief packs were funded by Senator Risa Hontiveros, with additional support from Mayor Rey P. Lacoste, who facilitated the assistance program.
Mayor Lacoste, accompanied by local officials, personally attended the event to show support to the program and underscore the importance of coordinated efforts in disaster response.
