Iriga: DSWD Bicol and partners recognized for outstanding contributions to 4Ps program

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) honored Field Office V – Bicol Region and its partners for their exceptional contributions to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) during the Pasasalamat at Pagpupugay sa mga Partners ng 4Ps, held on December 3-4, 2024, at Sequoia Hotel.

DSWD Bicol received recognition for its exemplary implementation of 4Ps, along with multiple awards highlighting its outstanding performance. Notable achievements included the submission of mental health reports for the World Bank’s Mobile Application Development project, a 100% referral rate of households for livelihood and employment opportunities, the development of a Family Development Session Guide for beneficiaries, and a perfect 100% eligibility rate for staff in civil service examinations.

The agency also met the 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA) target for improved well-being, supported the successful Joint National Advisory Council, National Technical Working Group, and Regional Advisory Council Field Visit in Sorsogon, implemented a comprehensive services interventions tracker, and sustained youth development programs.

The Local Government Units of Tabaco City and Sorsogon City, along with Children International Bicol Inc., were similarly acknowledged for their critical role in supporting the program and its beneficiaries. Their consistent efforts have significantly contributed to the success of 4Ps in combating poverty and empowering communities.

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office of Albay was commended for launching the Albayanihan convergence program, which provided enhanced support to 4Ps households through collaborative efforts.

The ceremony underscored the vital role of partnership and collaboration in achieving the program’s goals and improving the lives of Filipino families
