The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Bicol Region announced during a press conference held at the Convention Function Hall, Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili on December 4, 2023, the new minimum wage for private sector workers and kasambahay in the Bicol Region.
DOLE Bicol and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) V approved a P30.00 per day increase for private employees, upping the daily minimum wage from P365.00 to P395.00. The board also granted a P1000-pay hike per month for kasambahay in the region, increasing the monthly pay from P4,000 to P5,000.
The increase in the minimum wage rate takes effect on December 1, 2023.
