Iriga: DOH Bicol turns over an ambulance unit to BRGHGMC

The DOH Bicol CHD gave one land ambulance unit (Type 1) to the Bicol Region General Hospital and Geriatric Medical Center (BRGHGMC) during a ceremonial turn-over at the DOH Bicol CHD compound on June 24, 2024.

It was led by OIC-Regional Director Dr. Rodolfo Antonio M. Albornoz and his team from the Strategic Management for Health Development Division headed by Dr. Angela Maria B. Rempillo. The ambulance unit was offically turned over to BRGHGMC headed by Medical Center Chief Dr. Ramon C. Echano.

Dr. Albornoz said that the DOH Bicol CHD is always supportive in lending assistance to the BRGHGMC and hopes that the provision of the ambulance unit will enhance their service delivery.

Dr. Echano expressed his gratitude and commitment in maximizing the use of the ambulance unit for additional patient care and transportation.

OIC-Chief Medical Professional Staff Dr. Roderick M. Belleza also said that the ambulance unit will help in their community health initiatives such as the Bicol Skin Care Center, Kilatis Kutis Campaign, geriatric consultations, health promotion, and disease prevention strategies in underserved communities.

The land ambulance unit, amounting to 1.9 million pesos, is equipped with the necessary medical equipment for patient use.
