Pili, Camarines Sur — The Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSPPO), under the leadership of PCOL Virgilio O. Olalia, Jr., Provincial Director, ably represented by PLTCOL Erwin A. Doma, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration, attended the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) Deliberation and Declaration of Barangays as Drug-Cleared held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Hall, Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur.
The activity was presided over by Atty. Jacquelyn L. De Guzman, Regional Director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency RO5 and Chairperson of the ROCBDC, together with Director III Christian O. Frivaldo and representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Department of Health (DOH).
After thorough evaluation and validation of documents in compliance with the parameters set under the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP), the committee declared eight ( barangays from Camarines Sur as drug-cleared, namely: Calabanga (Pinada); Del Gallego (Sta. Rita II); Iriga City (Santiago); Libmanan (Bigajo Norte); Pamplona (Del Rosario); Pili (Himaao); and Sipocot (Gabi and Mangga).
Meanwhile, eleven (11) previously declared drug-cleared barangays were issued Resolutions for Certified Inventory of Drug Personalities (CIDP) after confirming full compliance with post-clearance monitoring requirements. These include: Tigaon (Vinagre and Caraycayon); Tinambac (Tierra Nevada); Baao (Nababarera); Magarao (Sto. Tomas and San Isidro); Sagñay (Turague); Nabua (Antipolo Young); Balatan (Lulusan); and Goa (Matacla).
This manifestation of commitment from all member agencies of the ROCBDC underscores the government’s unrelenting efforts to maintain drug-cleared status and sustain a drug-free environment in the province. The CSPPO remains steadfast in its support to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and other partner agencies in realizing the national government’s goal of a drug-free Camarines Sur.
