Senior Citizens in Iriga City received early Christmas gift from Mayor Rex Oliva during their Christmas party yesterday, December 22.
All seniors who attended the party received P500 each while all Barangay Senior Citizens Association (BASCA) Presidents received P4000 honorarium covering the November and December.
According to Mayor Rex, he recognizes and support the needs of the elderly and will continue to provide care and assistance to them. Â The celebration is a small token of his appreciation for the years of dedication and wisdom you’ve shared with our community.
He further said that cash assistance and honorarium may not be enough to cover their expenses as BASCA officials but something is better than nothing.
The Christmas party featured a variety of entertainment, including musical performances, dance numbers, gift giving and festive games that brought smiles to the faces of the attendees.
