The City Government of Iriga continues its effort to support the academic aspirations of young Irigueños through the distribution of Educational Assistance to 667 beneficiaries on December 9, 2025 at the 2nd Floor ICT Building. This initiative reaffirms the city’s commitment to investing in education and enabling students to pursue their studies with greater confidence and stability.
Each tertiary-level beneficiary received ₱3,000 to help cover essential academic expenses. In his message, Mayor Rex C. Oliva encouraged the students to use the assistance wisely, reminding them that education is an investment that pays dividends far into the future. His reminder highlighted the city’s belief in the transformative power of education and its role in shaping a brighter future for the youth.
The distribution was efficiently facilitated by the City Social Welfare and Development Office, led by Ms. Maridel Verrosa and her hardworking staff, who ensured an organized and smooth release for all recipients. Through programs like this, the city strengthens its pledge to uplift every Irigueño student and provide meaningful avenues for growth and success.
