The City Government of Iriga was recognized as one of the LGU Champions of Good Local Governance during the Aldaw Nin Honra 2025: Regional Recognition Ceremony for the 2024 Best Performing LGUs and Good Local Governance Champions, held today, October 30, 2025, in Legazpi City, Albay.
The awards were personally received by Mayor Rex C. Oliva, together with Ms. Maridel C. Verrosa, City Social Welfare and Development Officer, and Ms. Sheela M. Medina, Local Government Operations Officer VI, on behalf of the City Government of Iriga.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region V recognized 97 local government units (LGUs) from across the Bicol Region for exemplary performance in promoting transparency, accountability, and people-centered service delivery.
Iriga City was cited for outstanding performance under the following categories:
