The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Iriga City, under the leadership of Mayor Rex C. Oliva, held a virtual meeting with representatives from the Philippine Medical Association of Michigan (PMAM) on January 8, 2025, to ensure a seamless rollout of the upcoming medical mission.
This initiative, in partnership with PMAM and the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, is scheduled to take place from February 3 to 6, 2025, at the Iriga Sports Center in Sta. Cruz Sur.
The meeting, conducted at the City Mayor’s Office (CMO) conference room, brought together department heads and key LGU officials to finalize logistics and coordinate efforts for the much-anticipated event.
The collaboration also involves Sta. Maria Josefa Hospital, which will serve as the venue for major medical, dental and surgical operations during the mission.
Approximately 110 healthcare professionals from PMAM and Ka Fuerte Medical Assistance Program will provide free medical services during the mission. These services include specialized surgeries for thyroid, hernia, breast mass, and gallbladder conditions, as well as minor procedures such as cyst removal, skin tags, and circumcision.
This collaborative effort highlights the shared commitment to addressing healthcare needs and improving the well-being of Irigueños.
