The City Government of Iriga is actively participating in the nationwide 18 Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, which runs from November 25 to December 12. This annual observance strengthens the commitment of national and local governments, partner agencies, and communities to protect the rights, safety, and dignity of women and girls.
As part of this year’s campaign, employees of the City Government of Iriga wear orange every Wednesday to symbolize a future free from violence and to remind the community of the city’s advocacy for safer spaces for women. Throughout the campaign period, various offices have joined the weekly activity, showing unity in addressing violence against women and supporting the local government’s efforts to promote awareness, encourage reporting, and protect vulnerable sectors.
The City Government of Iriga reaffirms its commitment to creating an environment where women and girls feel secure and empowered. Through sustained information drives, strengthened referral mechanisms, and coordination with national government agencies and community stakeholders, Iriga City strives to advance a culture of respect and inclusivity for all.
